Review this disclosure before choosing whether TakeHelm may collect Apple Health data. Connecting Apple Health is optional and is available only to eligible direct-to-consumer members. You can use TakeHelm without connecting it.
This limited rollout supports the following 20 data types. You choose which supported types to connect. Available records depend on your Apple Health data, device, data sources and permissions.
Records include their measurement times and available values or units. Saved workout summaries may include activity type, duration and available energy or distance totals. Clinical records, including FHIR records, and medication and dose logs are excluded. TakeHelm does not request write access or write changes back to Apple Health.
Your TakeHelm collection choice and Apple Health read permissions are separate. If you choose collection, Apple controls its own permission screen, where you can choose which data types to allow. Completing that screen does not tell TakeHelm exactly which read permissions you allowed. An empty result can also mean that no matching records are available.
Imports can be delayed. iOS controls when background work runs, and opening the app may be needed to resume an import. A connection does not promise immediate or continuous updates.
The app uses encrypted device storage for records waiting to upload or confirm receipt. Uploaded records are stored in your TakeHelm account and processed by the TakeHelm service with fixed rules to validate and organize records and track import status. TakeHelm uses the storage and hosting processors identified in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, currently Supabase and Vercel, to operate this service. The safeguards and retention rules in our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy apply.
This rollout does not export connected Apple Health data to AI services or coaching pipelines. Agreeing to collection does not authorize coaching sharing. The broader AI features described in our general policies do not expand this Apple Health permission.
You can stop future collection or withdraw this collection permission through TakeHelm Apple Health controls, or contact privacy@takehelm.io for help. You can also change Apple Health read permissions in iOS. Declining or withdrawing this optional permission does not remove ordinary TakeHelm access.
Stopping collection or withdrawing permission does not delete data already collected. Request deletion through Account deletion in TakeHelm settings or by contacting privacy@takehelm.io. Requests follow the existing account deletion process and the retention and deletion policy, including its timeframes and exceptions. Submitting a request does not complete deletion immediately. TakeHelm does not delete the original records in Apple Health.
I consent to TakeHelm reading the supported Apple Health data types I choose, storing selected records in encrypted device storage and my TakeHelm account, and processing them with fixed rules to validate and organize them as described in the Apple Health disclosure. This optional collection permission is separate from Apple Health permissions. It does not authorize AI export, coaching sharing, writing to Apple Health, clinical records/FHIR, or medication and dose logs. I can decline or withdraw this permission and keep ordinary TakeHelm access. Stopping collection or withdrawing does not delete data already collected. I can request deletion through the existing account deletion process or privacy@takehelm.io under the existing privacy and retention policies.
